Ce weekend était THE weekend à St-Odilon, le petit village d'à peu près 1000 habitants où j'habite et je travail. Nous célébrions nos 125 ans puisque St-Odilon de Cranbourne a été fondé en 1883.
Dur à croire qu'entre Québec et ici il y ait tant de différence! Mais lorsque certains passionés de randonnées en chevaux m'ont dit avoir fait 26 km en 5 heures pour se rendre à nos festivités, cela se comprend drôlement mieux... C'était tout une aventure que de partir au loin à cheval!
La fin de semaine fut donc occupé par un souper théâtre avec que des artistes de chez nous, une parade de chars allégoriques, un spectacle de Karme Kameleon, un dîner retrouvaille et bien du bon temps entre parents et amis!
Voici des photos de la parade. Dame Nature ayant été de la partie, ce fut un franc succès et les grands, comme les petits, ont adorés.
La parade commencait par une fanfare de cornemuses, pour rappeller les origines Irlandes de St-Odilon de Cranbourne. C'était tout un début, un si beau son que ces cornemuses! Cela me rappelle mon mariage, puisque nous avions un joueur de cornemuse à l'église, surprise que j'avais fait à mon mari.
Vieux tracteurs, voitures antiques, cheveaux et carrioles, chars allégoriques et amuseurs publiques se succèdaient ensuite! Ce fut une parade d'à peu près une heure dont nous nous souviendrons longtemps (mes pauvres épaules aussi puisque j'ai attrapé tout un coup de soleil...)

On a vraiment eu un beau weekend... de beaux souvenirs à conserver en mémoire! Et j'espère bien être au rendez-vous en 2033, pour le 150ieme!
